This error indicates either a problem with your module hardware, or an incompabity between the sensor and the kernel device driver. If you are sure it's not the former, then my guess would be that the ext clock crystal on the camera board is not the same frequency as what the kernel driver expects. You should reach out to your module manufacturer and talk to them about this.
