There's been a strong tradition of after market mods in computing ever since there has been personal computers. Modifying a device once it has been sold to its end user really isn't going to attract any legal attention. People would be well aware of warranty considerations too.They'd be breaking the law if they did. These modified units wouldn't have conformance testing performed upon them.I knew it wouldn’t take long.
I feel that the modding of 500s to add an M.2 socket is an opportunity to someone with the right skills and equipment to make a shedload of cash.
