might help, but 'think first' may be better! Question to ask oneself: Touch Display V2 is a new product, so how likely is it going to work on old installations?I had the same problem. Tried multiple RP 2, 3 and 5. Then I updated the O/S and it worked. Definitely need to print that on the instructions.
It simply neede resources not available on old installations (the display driver, device tree overlay just to name a few).
The same is valid for any third party OS; also need to have the resources or the screen will do nothing.
