Now on to purging all references to "Raspberry Pi (Trading) Ltd" which hasn't existed as a legal entity with that name since 2021 :D :D
It's not strictly necessary to do that, or at least not with any real urgency. Companies House maintains details of previous company names, so any references which were made prior to the official name change are basically ok. It's just improper to use the old name in new documents/references.

As for the OS version in the splash screen, I believe it's just bumped with the quarterly releases of the OS images, and entirely unrelated to the kernel version. As far as I know, it only appears in the splash screen and marketing blurb, and isn't of any real technical value. If memory serves, it's not easy to find that version number within the running OS (other than the splash screen image file).

Edit: I just checked, and the latest splash screen version (in /usr/share/plymouth/themes/pix/splash.png) is 5.4 (October 2024). I think whoever is saying "Raspberry Pi OS 6.6" is just plain wrong/confused. The OS version and kernel version are absolutely not the same thing, and it is wrong to use the kernel version to describe the OS release/version.
