It happens, it's a hard way to learn, but it happens.
Why start over with a different platform if you have the entire thing working, you just need a new pi, not a new platform plus code and test all over again.
Just take the time and look at all the soldering connections you made, analyze it and try to find why that wire popped off. It should be easy to see it and not do it again next time.
But be assured, it happens to the best of us too, no matter how long you've been soldering things.
