Interfacing (DSI, CSI, I2C, etc.) • Re: 433mhz with Pi 5, any ideas what receiver might work?

I was hoping to buy a cheap 4 button garage door fob and "sniff" the codes on a gpio, which seemed a simple and cheap solution, until I realized the Pi 5 doesn't have the librariea s any more (yet, as far as I can tell). I do have an SDR dongle, I could try that, although it is a bit bulky for what I want to try and within the space I have available.
I bought such a send/receive combination, sender has small battery, receiver is with a relay (contacts are free). I use 1 as a light switch for a 12V LED light. I had once bought a generic transceiver that does many protocols, costed 100 euros or so, that one can also steer the relay (from home automation software. But range is not as good as I want.

Last year, I bought a handfull of older ESP boards, small as a coin, they cost a few dollars. I flashed Tasmota on it and then you have a much easier and more robust wireless on/off solution than with 433MHz. MQTT build in, many other things.
