OK using a demo from the Kodi official wiki: HDR 10-bit HEVC 24fps (in MP4, 'Exodus' sample), on a Pi5 8GB with all updates, it seemed to be fine using VLC on my Samsung Series 9 TV video is 3840 x 2160.
