I take it more as an admission it took them 4 to 5 years to realize they picked the wrong hardware platform they needed to do whatever they dreamed of, instead of doing a POC and going "oh, this isn't going to work for us" and moving on to try other platforms after a month or two. Let me take this line of thinking a step further: that alone, clearly explains OPs entire post.From my reading of "4-5 years ago rpi boards were our choice for making a home surveillance system.. Now various vendors have come up with their flashy IPCam hardware" I take it as a lament that Pi's aren't keeping up with the competition on the home surveillance front, and particularly those which use AI to do some clever stuff.
