Graphics, sound and multimedia • "portable" HD display?

I have an idea for an "embedded" (in quotes because it's not truly a kiosk type mode) system that has hit a wall. The software to control things requires, at a bare minimum a display resolution of 1010x700, 720p (1280x768 or 1280x800 ish) would be more comfortable. I'd like this in a 7" or 10" package (any larger will cause other problems with the design and placement of the rest of the build). Ideally it would be no more than 120 USD in cost but potentially able to go a bit higher (150 USD absolute max for the display) especially if there's a way to mount a pi4 or 5 to the back of the display without adding a case for the display and additional brackets beyond a compatible case for the pi. I've checked adafruit and similar suppliers, and best I can find are either too low resolution or includes audio (which raises the cost beyond budget, this application doesn't need a speaker or microphone, touch capable would be nice, but not necessary). Is there a display that fits what I need? I even considered trying to get a tablet replacement screen (couple places have them listed for way under budget, although out of stock, but not sure it would be possible to connect one to a pi).
